ABOUT ME
As far back as I can remember I have always had the need or urge to draw or scribble down on paper what I saw around me. My earliest memory I think was when I was around 4 or 5 years old and my dad asking me to draw something for a visitor to our home that day. I kinda remember what I'd drawn was a TV cartoon character called Deputy Dawg. The reaction to what I had drawn was such that I was always drawing something and then proudly showing it to my mum and dad for their approval, which I usually got. I would often copy what I saw in comic books which were more popular then than now. Superman and Batman were my personal favourites so much so that I could almost draw Superman without looking at the comic book. Gradually I progressed to personal portraits in pencil of close friends and family members, or would have been asked to draw the current pop stars of the time, which I didnt mind as I was learning my craft and my work steadily improved with practice. Other subjects requested were the big box office attractions at the movie theatres and cinemas
such as Bruce Lee, Clint Eastwood, etc. Once finished I would often just give them away. Getting older my art progressed onto the street and I took up a lot of time writing my name and drawing on street corner walls around where I lived. I think most of us did this
while growing up...it was like an identity statement writing your name on a piece of public property. You would always find a permanent marker in my coat pocket for this pastime.

My other great passion is Music. Where would we be without music? I read a magazine article recently where it said..."of all the activities of the human being, the only one that completely engulfs the entire brain is...music" no other human activity can do this..none. Such is the power of music. Music has the power to take us to places in our memories that we had long forgotten..it can take us to places , it can make us remember people. It can stir emotions and feelings in us all. It has even been used to help bring people around from a coma. Music is used as a therapeutic aid for people re couperating from trauma or serious injury. Like I said where would we be without music? My own tastes in music are wide and very varied ..I like all tastes and types of music from earlly Rock n Roll, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly, on to The Rolling Stones and through to modern day stuff like Muse, all dance music, Faithless, Robert Mile's Children., and of course Michael Jackson and big movie scores like Star Wars, Rocky, Mission Impossible, etc. Music is music. Somewhere along the way I came up with the idea to fuse the two passions/ mediums together, Art and Music. I like to call this fusion " The Colour of Music". Someone once said..."If music be the food of love, play on".. I say .."if music be the food of love, PAINT on"..
" what can I say, I like to splash paint about..."
